Introduction

Doloc Town's weather system is one of the most impactful mechanics in the game, directly affecting crop survival, power generation, fish spawning, and animal behavior. The four seasons — Mistshade (Mildly Rainy), Raincrest (Heavily Rainy), Blazefall (Mildly Sunny), and Emberreach (Heavily Sunny) — each last four in-game weeks and bring distinct weather hazards that can either destroy your farm or be turned into powerful advantages with the right preparation.

Core Mechanics

Each season in Doloc Town lasts four in-game weeks and affects all farming systems simultaneously. Rain during Mistshade and Raincrest auto-waters outdoor crops (eliminating manual watering), spawns mushrooms for free harvesting, and triggers fish activity at various spots. Lightning storms during Raincrest damage unprotected crops with acid rain but provide free electricity through lightning rods and accelerate Charge-gene crops. Scorching heat during Emberreach kills unprotected crops but can be negated with the Needle-leaf gene and peaks solar panel energy production. Weather modifiers also affect the water purifier, creating special fishing conditions.

Advantages

Weather hazards can be converted into advantages with proper preparation — acid rain becomes free electricity via lightning rods, storms accelerate Charge-gene crops, rain eliminates manual watering, and scorching heat produces peak solar output. The Even Rain gene creates a watering radius around your crop, effectively auto-watering neighbors. The Keratinized gene makes crops immune to acid rain, removing the need for plastic coverings entirely.

Challenges

Unprepared players face devastating crop losses during Raincrest acid rain and Emberreach scorching heat. The transition between seasons can catch players off guard if they haven't prepared protection in advance. Weather modifiers on fishing spots add complexity to an already information-dense system. Climate transformation in late game requires significant investment before showing returns.
